Residential Burglary, Criminal Mischief: Princeton Police Blotter

The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:

PRINCETON, NJ — On Oct. 1, 11:07 a.m., patrols responded to a home on Linwood Circle for the report of a residential burglary. The investigation revealed that between approximately 4:09 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 30, unknown actor(s) unlawfully entered the home through an unsecured basement door. Upon entering the house, the actor(s) rummaged through several rooms and reportedly stole around $113,000 worth of property. The Princeton Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Oct. 2, 8:06 a.m., patrols responded to the Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve for the report of graffiti located inside the men's bathroom. The graffiti depicted a tree with roots drawn on a tiled surface, and the words "F*ck Trump." The estimated cost for the removal was estimated to be around $120.

On Oct. 7, 4:07 p.m., patrols responded to a home on Rollingmead for a report of a residential burglary. The on-scene investigation revealed that on Oct. 7, between 8 a.m. and 3:47 p.m., an unknown suspect forced entry to the home by prying open a rear dining room window. During the incident, the suspect also attempted, seemingly unsuccessfully, to force entry to a rear dining room door. Once inside the house, the suspect rummaged through several rooms on the residence's first floor. The cost of the stolen items is currently unknown. The Princeton Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Oct. 7, 6:27 p.m., following a motor vehicle crash investigation on North Harrison St., the driver, a Princeton resident, was found to be Driving While Intoxicated. The 34-year-old was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed. After the completion of his arrest processing, the man was released to a sober adult. He was issued several motor vehicle summonses, including Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Open Container of Alcohol in Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a MV Accident, and Failure to Report a MVA.
