Ricky's Thai Asian Fusion Expands To Open 4th Location In Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ — Ricky's Thai is continuing to expand with a fourth location opening in Princeton with a slightly new concept.

Along with its well-known Thai flavors, Owner Ricky Chai said his new restaurant will be more of a fusion offering flavors from the southwest including food from Malaysia, Singapore, India, and Indonesia.

"Hopefully this new concept will bring it a new look, new food, and a new concept that will hopefully suit this community," said Chai of the Princeton area.

The new location will be at 1225 Route 206 in Princeton. Chai told Patch he is hoping to open by the end of February or early March.

"I am feeling excited because this is a new thing to me, a new challenge," said Chai.

This will be Ricky's Thai fourth location with other locations in Hillsborough, Montgomery and Bernardsville.

Chai said he has hired a well-experienced chef to create new menu dishes and hopes to bring a new taste and new things to try in the Princeton area.

In the late 90s, Chai previously owned a traditional Chinese restaurant. He plans to pull flavors from his past experience into his new Princeton location.

Ricky's Thai Asian Fusion will offer around 20 seats for dine-in seating, take-out, and delivery.

Chai thanked the community for their support.

"Thank you to the community for supporting Ricky Thai from before the pandemic, during the pandemic and after when we opened our third location in Bernardsville and now our fourth location in Princeton," said Chai. "Thank you for continuing the community support."

Chai said as long as the support continues he is hoping to open fifth location in Bedminster.
