Road Resurfacing on Washington Road Expected to Cause Traffic Delays
The project is expected to last three weeks.
Starting Monday, April 15, Mercer County officials will begin a road resurfacing project on Washington Road from Route 1 to the Route 64 Bridge in West Windsor.
The project is expected to last three weeks and work will occur Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays.

West Windsor Police have devised a detour for one lane of travel, to allow Route 1 traffic eastbound into West Windsor, but divert westbound traffic onto Wallace and Alexander Roads during construction.

- From Route 1: eastbound traffic only permitted from Route 1 through Route 64 Bridge (end at CR 571/ Cranbury Road intersection)
- From CR 571 (at Cranbury Road): make left onto Wallace Road, follow to Alexander Road, turn right onto Alexander Road, turn right onto Route 1 north, to Washington Road.
