Saccenti Announces Candidacy for 16th District Assembly

South Brunswick resident John Saccenti seeks the Assembly seat vacated by the death of Peter Biondi.

John Saccenti of South Brunswick, president of the New Jersey State Local Boards of Health Association, has announced he will seek the state assembly seat previously held by Peter Biondi, who died two days after he was reelected in November.

Saccenti is the fourth candidate to announce his interest in the vacant seat, following Democrat Sue Nemeth of Princeton Township, Republican Bill Spadea of Princeton Township and Democrat Joe Camarota.

“I am pursuing this seat in order to offer my expertise and experience to the people of District 16,” Saccenti wrote in a prepared statement. “It would be an honor to serve our residents and continue the value system that I shared with Peter.”
