The district proposes a $75.6 million 2012-13 operating budget, one that includes a 1 percent increase over the current budget.Â

What Happens if the Budget is Defeated?:
Should voters fail to approve the budget, Princeton officials would review it, make cuts and then return it to the board of education for implementation. Defeating the budget would not affect the amount of money paid by the district to local charter schools.Â

The Candidates
Four candidates are vying for three open seats on the Princeton Board of Education. Incumbent Rebecca Cox is running for reelection to represent Princeton Borough and she faces newcomers Dudley Sipprelle and Martha Land for two open positions.Â
Township resident Patrick Sullivan is running unopposed to represent Princeton Township.
