The summer internship offers students a first-hand glimpse into the daily workings of the White House.

Six Princeton University students have been selected as Summer 2012 White House interns.

- Sarah Burns:Â Washington, D.C., Princeton University
- Cody Gray:Â San Jose, Calif., Princeton University Graduate School
- Ezra Levin: Buda, Texas, Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs
- Kathryn O'Dea:Â Swarthmore, Pa., Princeton University
- Alisa Tiwari:Â Chevy Chase, Md., Princeton University
The White House Summer Intern Program offers students who at least 18 years old a chance to develop leadership skills and gain exposure to the public service sector through hands-on experience.
Interns work in one of several White House departments, including the National Economic Council, Office of the Chief of State, Office of the Vice President and Office of the First Lady.

Interns also participate in a weekly speaker series with senior staff members and small group meetings and perform service projects at schools and non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C.
