iPad Tips and Tricks with Caitlin Trought. Learn tips and tricks including gestures, settings, basic functions, as well as some fun apps. You will learn how to download and manage apps, as well as how to create and edit content on the iPad. Princeton Theological Seminary, Stuart Hall, Room 6 7:30 a.m.
Mercer County Community College presents a panel discussion on the
150th anniversary of Emancipation Proclamation. The panel will examine the impact of the Emancipation Proclamation, from its historical significance to social and racial impact. Panelists include the Rev. Darrell Armstrong, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton; Dr. Diane Campbell, executive dean of student affairs; History Professor Dr. Craig Coenen; Sociology Professor Dr. Joan Goldstein; and Bursar Lucia Brown Joseph. 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, 2nd floor of the Library Building. Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton presents a talk, 'The Quest to Understand the Sun and the Space Weather it Produces' presented by Clayton E. Myers., Peyton Hall, 4 Ivy Lane, Princeton University. Free. 8 p.m.
Wednesday
Mercer County Community College presents a Sept. 11 Commemoration today, with a tribute to the 30 county residents who died in the attacks. The guest speaker will be Sam Plumeri Jr, vice chair of the New Jersey State Parole Board and former superintendent of police and director of public safety of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, Memorial Garden, 11 a.m.
Thursday
The Princeton Farmers' Market is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Hinds Plaza, located next to the Princeton Public Library on Witherspoon Street.
Stop by the Princeton University Art Museum to kick off a new year during the Nassau Street Sampler. Visit the galleries and enjoy musical performances by some of Princeton's beloved student groups as we kick off the fall season of the Museum's popular Late Thursdays events. Free, 5-8 p.m.
