Theft, Attempted Burglary and More
Princeton Police reported the following incidents between March 18 to March 24.

On March 18 at 7 a.m., a manager of a business in the 300 block of Nassau Street reported that sometime since the close of business on March 17, someone attempted to break into the business by forcing open the rear door. The person or persons were unable to gain entry. Â
On March 20 at 5:40 p.m., a victim in the first block of State Road reported that sometime during business hours on March 19, her Dell laptop had been stolen from her office desk. The computer is valued at approximately $900.Â

On March 21 at 11:45 a.m., a Nissan Maxima driven by Antonea Kouassi, 43, of Somerset, backed out of a parking place in front of Wawa on University Place and was struck by a Honda Pilot driven by Constance Sullivan, 51, of West Windsor. A 70-year-old passenger in the Nissan complained of chest pain and a 14-year-old passenger in the Honda complained of head pain. The Nissan passenger was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment. Kouassi was issued a summons for careless driving.Â
On March 22 at 10:48 p.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street near Moore Street and determined that the driver, Candace Conway, 44, of Rocky Hill, had been driving after drinking alcohol. Conway was arrested and later released to a friend. She was issued summonses for DWI, DWI in a school zone, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, reckless driving and failure to maintain a single lane.Â

On March 24 at 1:37 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Nassau Street at Witherspoon Street and discovered that there was a $400 traffic warrant out of West Windsor Municipal Court for vehicle owner and passenger Robert Steimle, 23, of Princeton. Steimle was arrested and taken to police headquarters. During processing, police found that he had prescription drugs without authorization. Steimle was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and was later released on his own recognisance.Â
