Thieves Target Princeton Eating Clubs

The incidents, some of which were captured by video surveillance, do not appear to be related, police said.

 

Multiple thefts were recently reported at Princeton University eating clubs in the first block of Prospect Avenue, according to Princeton Police.

On May 23, a victim told police that sometime between 4 p.m. and midnight, someone entered their room at Colonial Club and took cash from their wallet. There was no sign of forced entry.

On May 24, a victim reported while he was attending an event at Cap and Gown on May 4, someone took his suit jacket from the coat closet. The jacket is valued at $500.

On May 24, a victim reported that sometime between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m., someone removed his jacket from the coatroom at Cloister Inn on Prospect Avenue. The jacket is valued at $100. A call phone in the jacket is valued at $100 and a wallet jacket contained $50.
