The threat of severe weather, including possible tornadoes, is increasing for later Saturday afternoon and evening across the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region, the National Weather Service has warned.
According to the NWS, the main hazards are damaging winds and possible tornadoes. Forecasters with that agency now say there is an "enhanced" chance of hazardous weather in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Numerous severe storms are possible between 4 and 10 p.m., according to forecasters.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued due to "windy conditions" that may cause isolated instances of tree damage and power outages. "Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible," the NWS said in the Hazardous Weather Outlook.
The storms are expected to clear out by Sunday, when a sunny and breezy day with temperatures in the low 50s is predicted.
