Washington Road to Close for Repairs Beginning Aug. 19
During the 10-day project, Alexander Road will be open as an alternate route to and from Princeton.

A portion of Washington Road will close for repairs beginning on Monday, Aug. 19 and continue for approximately 10 days.
On weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Washington Road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 9 a.m. and 3 p.m, weekdays only.
Drivers will be directed around the work area via Nassau Street, Harrison Street, Alexander Road and Faculty Road.

The project, coordinated by Mercer County, involves milling and resurfacing the section of road between Faculty Road and the Ivy Lane, Princeton Engineer Robert Kiser said.
"They're hoping, weather permitting, that they'll be finished earlier than the 30th," Kiser said.

He stressed that Alexander Road will be open to through traffic by the time the Washington Road project begins.
