Friday

Discover Physics at Princeton Public Library. David Maiullo of Rutgers University Physics Department returns to present his popular demonstration of the laws of physics for children 5 years and older and their families. While very fun, the demonstration is also very loud so is not suitable for very young children. Community Room, 3 p.m. 

Princeton Ballet School presents On Pointe: Romeo & Juliet Preview, 5:15 p.m.

Princeton Public Library presents the film: "Oranges and Sunshine." Emily Watson stars as Margaret Humphreys, a social worker who uncovered the mass deportation of children from the United Kingdom to Australia and, against overwhelming odds, reunited thousands of families and drew worldwide attention to an extraordinary miscarriage of justice. The film is based on Humphreys’ book “Empty Cradles.” Community Room, 7 p.m. 

A performance of Durufle' Requiem at Princeton United Methodist Church. Hyosang Park directs the combined choirs and instrumentalists in this 1947 masterwork by Maurice Durufle', linking the haunting modalities of plainsong with the harmonies of the impressionists, such as Debussy and Ravel, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

Nano Day at Princeton Public Library. Children, teens and adults will  explore presentations about the miniscule world of atoms, molecules and the nanoscale during this four-hour event, which also features fun, hands-on activities. Community Room, Noon to 4 p.m. 

Terhune Orchards hosts a Bunny Chase, a fun event for kids and their families. Follow the treasure hunt clues and find a spring surprise at the end. Perfect for children ages 2-8 years old.  Each child can make a bunny to take home; everyone can enjoy a Terhune Orchards bunny cookie. 1-3:30 p.m. 

A wild plant walk at Marquand Park with Dan Farella. Learn how to identify many plants revered in the herbal traditions for healing ailments and how to forage for nutritious wild food directly from the land. Sample the wild plant wonders of nature and focus on methods to use and prepare them. Gain the skills and confidence necessary to utilize the countless organic, fresh, local and free plant resources. Pre-registration required, 2 p.m.

Terhune Orchards hosts a Bunny Chase, a fun event for kids and their families. Follow the treasure hunt clues and find a spring surprise at the end. Perfect for children ages 2-8 years old.  Each child can make a bunny to take home; everyone can enjoy a Terhune Orchards bunny cookie. 1-3:30 p.m.
