Welcoming Week To Celebrate Inclusivity, Diversity In Princeton
Princeton joined Welcoming America in 2015. The event will showcase Princeton's rich culture and diversity.
PRINCETON, NJ – Princeton’s 9th Annual Welcoming Week will be held from Friday, Sept. 13 to 22.
Hosted by Princeton Human Services the weeklong event will feature a series of local events that celebrate and promote inclusivity, unity, and diversity in the community.
Welcoming Week offers the Princeton community an opportunity to showcase and enjoy its rich cultural heritage and traditions through art, music, food, dance, and crafts.

Participants will raise awareness of, and celebrate, the many cultures represented in the Municipality.
“Every year, Welcoming Week reminds us how fortunate we are to live in such a culturally diverse community, and this year is no exception. We have an exciting lineup of events celebrating Hispanic, Japanese, Colonial, German, and Spanish Heritage,” Councilmember Leticia Fraga said.

“It’s inspiring to see our neighbors come together to share their stories and learn from one another, which reinforces what we all know to be true—that Princeton is a community built on
curiosity, understanding, and mutual respect.”
Princeton joined Welcoming America in 2015, a global initiative aimed at fostering inclusive communities that value diversity. By joining this initiative, the Municipality of Princeton continues its commitment to ensuring that people from around the world feel valued and welcome.
“We are very excited to celebrate Princeton’s 9th Welcoming Week,” said Rhodalynn Jones, Director of Princeton Human Services.
“This is a special time for the community to come together and reaffirm our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Princeton joins the rest of the nation in elevating the spirit of unity and welcoming all those who choose to call Princeton home.”
