Winberie's Restaurant & Bar Celebrates 40 Years In Princeton

Located across from Princeton University, the long-standing "Princeton Pub" has been a community gathering place since 1984.

PRINCETON, NJ — Since 1984, Winberie's Restaurant & Bar has served the community, college students, and visitors. Now the "Princeton Pub" is celebrating 40 years with a special throwback menu and planned celebration.

For four decades, the restaurant has been the go-to destination for locals and even celebrities such as Michelle Obama.

"The history and feeling you get when you are here. It is really incredible," said Albert Amoroso, with Winberie's. "A lot of people have their first dates here or special occasions. It just sticks in their minds and for us, we feel like part of their community and life. In a way, it is cool to be part of that."

The restaurant at One Palmer Square remodeled the interior in 2019 with new flooring but overall Amoso said they stay true to what made them successful for the past 40 years.

"We continue to offer locally sourced ingredients and we keep up with current trends as well. But we stayed close to our roots. A lot of things have been here for 40 years," said Amoroso.
