Woman Assaulted In Princeton University Library
The woman was working in a room at the Lewis Library when she was assaulted, the University's Department of Public Safety said.
PRINCETON, NJ — A woman reported that she was assaulted while working at a library on campus on Monday, Princeton University Department of Public Safety said.
The woman told authorities she was working in a room on the fourth floor of Lewis Library when at 12:30 p.m., a man opened the door and asked for help.
He then approached the woman, grabbed her by the neck, and pushed her against the wall. The woman screamed and left the room before seeking assistance and calling the Department of Public Safety.

The man did not follow her, officials said.
The assailant was described as 25-30 years old, with a brown sweatshirt, brown pants, black backpack and dark-colored hair.

Students, faculty, staff and community members should contact the Department of Public Safety at 609-258-1000 if they encounter similar behavior or have information relevant to the investigation, officials said.
