Bergen Sheriff's Officer Charged With Providing Inmate Contraband
Jessica Stec, 28, was suspended from duty and arrested Friday, authorities said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Bergen County sheriff's officer was charged Friday with providing contraband to an inmate and obstructing justice, authorities said.
Jessica Stec, 28, of Elmwood Park was suspended from duty beginning Friday, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office announced in a news release.
Authorities first received complaints about her at the jail Monday, Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Authorities investigated, confirmed information, and revealed evidence that Stec provided contraband to an inmate at the jail and "obstructed a governmental function," Musella said.
Stec was issued a summons and given a court date to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court the morning of Oct. 10.
