Outreach Committee Urges Ramsey Seniors to Sign Up for Newsletter, Senior Events

The new Outreach Committee is urging Ramsey residents over the age of 60 to sign up for the monthly calendar of events. Call Borough Hall at 201-825-3400 to receive the latest information on senior events. Ramsey Seniors have a lot to look forward to this Fall. Here is some of what;s going on:

Octoberfest at Platzl Brauhaus: Sign up has begun at Borough Hall for Octoberfest at Platzl Brauhaus in Pomona, NY.on Wednesday, October 16th. Enjoy a day of music, dancing, entertainment, bocce, shuffleboard and horseshoes. A day filled with eating and drinking the old-fashioned German way. The fun begins when you depart from Finch Park at 9:15 a.m. and return home about 6:15 p.m. Price is $65 per person, payable to "Ramsey Seniors." 

White Christmas: The bus trip to the Westchester Broadway Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 20, features the unforgettable music of Irving Berlin. White Christmas will fill you with the joy of the season as this heartwarming musical adaptation presents all the unforgettable songs of yesteryear. Price of $70 per person includes a full course lunch, show and transportation. Checks payable to "Ramsey Seniors."  Sign up at the Borough Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.

Up to date time changes:

  • Pickleball is Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • Bocce is now on Monday, Wednesday,and Friday at 1 p.m.  
The trip to Lancaster, Pa. for the Holiday Entertainment Extravaganza is underway. There is still time to reserve your seat for the Nov.19-20 event. A tour of Gettysburg, lunch at Miller's Smorgasbord, dinner at the Dutch Apple Theater and the Christmas show at the American Music Theater are included. Save the Date: The annual Senior Christmas Luncheon will be held at the Ramsey Country Club on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 12 noon. Details of this popular event are forthcoming.        

The Brownstone Restaurant in Paterson has been reserved for the annual Christmas luncheon and show on Tuesday, December 10th. Price of $46 for members and $50 for non-members includes lunch, dancing, entertainment by the Jersey Dreamers, two complimentary drinks and transportation.
