Ramsey School Calendar 2018-19: First Day of School, Vacations

RAMSEY, NJ — The first day of school in Ramsey is September 6 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Ramsey District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/28 - 8/30: New Teacher Orientation

September

• 9/4 - 9/5: All Staff Orientation
• 9/6: First Day of School
• 9/10: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/29: No School (Staff Development Day)

November

• 11/5 - 11/7: Grades Pre-K-5 Minimum Days (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 11/8 - 11/9: No School (NJEA Teacher Convention)
• 11/21: Minimum Day
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day, Winter Recess)
• 1/28: No School (Staff Development Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)
• 2/19: No School (Staff Development Day)

March

• No Calendar Events

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)
• 4/26: Grades 9-12 Minimum Day (Staff Development Day)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/24: Minimum Day (Eighth Grade Graduation)
• 6/25: Last Day of School (Minimum Day, High School Graduation)
• 6/26: Last Day of School for Teachers
