Ramsey Student Actors Score Metropolitan Theater Awards

Five students who were in this year's production of 'Crazy for You' recently picked up trophies honoring their performances.

Ramsey High School is home to a bunch of talented performers. And, though they may not have Oscars quite yet, a group of borough students did recently pick up some awards recognizing their talents among high school performers in the region.

According to a release from Ramsey High School, five students who were in this year’s production of Crazy for You won Metropolitan High School Theater Awards at a ceremony held earlier this month. Sponsored by the Helen Hayes Youth Theater of Nyack, NY, the awards recognize the best performance and technical theater from participating high school musicals from Rockland, Westchester, and Bergen counties.

Students Kristina Walz won the trophy for Outstanding Vocal Performance, Eileen O’Connor won Outstanding Featured Performance, and Tommy Barbara, Nicholas Venturini, and Joshua Bialkin - members for the Cowboy Trio - won the trophy for Outstanding Ensemble.
