The Week Ahead in Ramsey: Back to School Night, Meetings and Library Programs

The Ramsey Public Library is hosting Crochet with Sally Ann for children grades 4 through six, Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. This eight week intensive program will teach your child to crochet and come away with their very own creation. Kids must commit to the eight sessions to complete their project. Program runs from  Sept. 23 to 30, Oct. 7, 21, 28, and Nov. 11, 18 & 25. Registration is required and limited to Ramsey residents. Register at the Reference desk.

The Ramsey Mayor and Council will be meeting for a work session Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of Borough Hall and on Wednesday at 8 p.m. for a regular meeting in the council chambers of Borough Hall. 

Smith School will be hosting Back to School Night Monday from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Toddler Storytime at the Ramsey Public Library is Tuesday at 10 a.m. For all 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 year olds and their caregivers. Come, drop-in for stories and a craft. Limited to Ramsey residents; no registration required. 

The Ramsey Public Library is hosting Reading to Therapy Dogs Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Read to a companion that will listen attentively  in a relaxed, comfortable and safe environment. Kids in grades 1-5, sign up for a 10 minute time slot on Tuesdays - 4:00-5:00 pm Sept. 24, Oct. 22, Nov. 19 & Dec. 17. In person registration at the Reference desk. Limited to Ramsey residents. 

The Ramsey Board of Education will be meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the library of Ramsey High School. 

The Design Review Board will be meeting Tuesday 7:30 p.m. in the first floor front conference room of Borough Hall. 

The Pool Commission will be meeting Tuesday 8 p.m. in the first floor rear conference room.

Newborn Storytime at the Ramsey Public Library is Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. For newborns to 18 months little people and their caregivers. Drop in for a story, fingerplay and rhymes - No signups are required.

The Ramsey Public Library is offering Baby Storytime Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. For babies 19 months - 2 1/2 year olds and their caregivers. Come, drop-in for a story, fingerplay and rhymes. No signups are required.

Preschool Storytime at the Ramsey Library is Wednesdays at 1 p.m. For 4 - 6 year olds and their caregivers. Drop-in for stories and songs, no signups are required for this program. This program is also offered Thursdays at 10 a.m. 

The Ramsey Public Library is offering English Language Learners Conversation Classes with Mary Casey Wednesday at 10 a.m.This class is limited to Ramsey residents. Please sign up at the Circulation Desk

Thursday is Back to School Night at Ramsey High School. The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. 

Friday is Kids Yoga at the Ramsey Public Library at 9:30 a.m. Prek - Kindergarten age group is invited to join Ms Brenda for yoga. Sign ups are required for this program. In person registration at the Reference desk.
