Armed Men Tie Up Employee, Rob Morris Co. Liquor Store, Police Say

Police are still searching for the masked men who robbed the store at gunpoint, authorities said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Police are searching for two men who are believed to have robbed a liquor store in Morris County, officials said.

On Wednesday, around 9:30 p.m., two masked people, believed to be men, entered a liquor store on Route 10 in Randolph. The duo was also wearing hoods and gloves.

After wandering around the store for a bit, one of them flashed a handgun at an employee, officials said.

The suspect forced the employee into the store’s bathroom, where he bound them with zip ties and duct tape, prosecutors said.

Meanwhile, the other suspect pointed a handgun at the employee at the front register, demanding cash, police said.

The employee handed over the money from the register before the suspect took their phone and “additional proceeds,” according to authorities.

Both suspects then left the store and headed towards Victory Gardens, police said.

The suspects have not yet been caught, and an investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
