1 Injured In St. Mary’s Place Shooting In Red Bank

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, prosecutors said.

RED BANK, NJ — Authorities are investigating a shooting in Red Bank that injured a man early Saturday morning, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.

The shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. at St. Mary’s Place off Shrewsbury Avenue, Santiago said.

Red Bank Police responded to a report of shots fired and found three shell casings, authorities said.

While they were investigating the report, authorities were notified that a 34-year-old Long Branch man had been admitted to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the upper leg, Santiago said.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Red Bank Police Department are investigating the incident.
