Annual Holiday Concert Sets Return To Monmouth County

RED BANK, NJ — Audiences can join the award-winning Monmouth Civic Chorus when their annual holiday concert returns to the Count Basie Center for the Arts in December.

On Sunday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m., the Chorus will present “A Joyous Day” at the historic Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on the Basie Center campus.

This year’s concert will feature highlights from Handel’s Messiah in Act I, followed by stirring settings of the audience’s favorite carols in Act II.

The chorus of 100 voices will be joined by an elite professional orchestra composed of some of the country’s most in-demand musicians.

“Audiences and musicians agree that Monmouth Civic Chorus’s annual holiday concert is one of the most jubilant days of the year," officials said. "This season's program promises to be no exception."

For a 14th and final season, the Chorus will perform under the baton of Artistic Director Dr. Ryan James Brandau, recently hailed by The New York Times as conducting “the gold standard” Messiah.

The Chorus’ performance will take place at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on the Count Basie Center for the Arts campus at 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank.

Tickets for general admission seating are $42 for adults, $37 for seniors, $37 for group (10 or more) and $15 for students. Premium seating is also available.
