Back To School: Shrewsbury 2023-24 School Calendar

SHREWSBURY, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Shrewsbury, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Shrewsbury School District.

The first day of school (early dismissal) for most students in Shrewsbury is Tuesday, Sept. 5. The first day for the Red Bank Regional High School District is Sept. 7.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Shrewsbury School District

• First Day: Sept. 5, 12:30 p.m. dismissal; Sept 6, full day.
• Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 23 and 24, with 12:30 p.m. dismissal Nov. 22.
• Winter Recess: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, 2024, with 12:30 p.m. dismissal Dec. 22.
• Spring Recess: March 29 through April 5, 2024.
• Last Day: June 17, 2024, with graduation June 12, 2024.

There are two emergency days built into the calendar, so some dates may be adjusted.

Red Bank Regional High School District (See full calendar here.)

• First Day: Sept. 7.
• Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 23 and 24, with early dismissal Nov. 22.
• Winter Recess: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, 2024, with early dismissal Dec. 22.
• Spring Recess: March 29 through April 5, 2024.
• Last Day: June 17, 2024.

Adjustments may be made to the calendar based on emergency days needed.
