Broad Street Reopens To Traffic In Red Bank

The street has been closed since May to allow for the Borough's annual "Broadwalk" season.

RED BANK, NJ — Broad Street has officially reopened to traffic after closing in May to allow for Red Bank’s annual "Broadwalk" season.

Since 2020, the Borough has closed a stretch of Broad Street to traffic to allow for outdoor dining, walking, and more throughout the summer, turning the street into a pedestrian plaza.

During the closure, cars are prohibited on Broad Street from Front Street south to White Street.

The Borough refers to the street closure as “Broadwalk,” and started the tradition in response to COVID restrictions on indoor dining.

On Tuesday, Broad Street officially reopened to traffic, marking the end of the "Broadwalk" season.
