Chipotle Comes To Shrewsbury

SHREWSBURY, NJ — Chipotle Mexican Grill is ready for a new year at a new location - Shrewsbury Plaza.

The eatery opened there a month ago, on Dec. 30, and Chipotle is now another dining option for shoppers at the busy plaza on Broad Street (Route 35, just north of Shrewsbury Avenue).

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened two new locations at the Jersey Shore at the end of December — Shrewsbury and Toms River, the company said.

Nearby, Chipotle already has a Monmouth Mall location at 186 Route 35, in Eatontown, and a Red Bank location at 20 Water St., according to the company website.

The Shrewsbury site features the brand’s signature "Chipotlane," a drive-thru pickup lane where customers can pick up digital orders without leaving their cars. (Note: Food orders are not taken at this drive-thru - it's just for pick-up.)

Shrewsbury Chipotle is at 490B Shrewsbury Plaza, Shrewsbury, 07702, and is open every day from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Right now, the franchise is offering the Carne Asada, available for a limited time.

A company spokesperson also noted that area organizations can set up fundraisers through Chipotle to benefit local causes.

And Chipotle is hiring at the Shrewsbury location. The company says there are on average 25 jobs per location, with competitive benefits, including:
