Code Blue Alert Issued For Red Bank; Warming Center To Open
The Warming Center at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Red Bank will be open after a Code Blue alert is set for Wednesday night to Friday morning.
RED BANK, NJ — A Code Blue alert for cold temperatures is in effect from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, through 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, the borough announced.
The Warming Center at Pilgrim Baptist Church will be available to those in need.
Those without a permanent home can check in each day of the alert at JBJ Soul Kitchen beginning at 3:30 p.m., and also have dinner.

There you can register to go to Warming Center, located adjacent to Pilgrim Baptist Church at the Pilgrim Baptist Church Annex at 166 Shrewsbury Ave.

- Wednesday Night: Widespread frost after midnight. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
- Thursday: Widespread frost before 10 a.m. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 51. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
- Thursday Night: Widespread frost. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 29. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
- Friday: Widespread frost before 10 a.m. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 57. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
- Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 38.
The Warming Center has 18 beds for men and services to help with laundry, showers and sleeping areas.
Volunteers at the Warming Center have said that about a third of the men using its services are working, but housing is so expensive the men can not afford a permanent place to live. Guests can come to the back entrance of the annex to be admitted.
