Red Bank 2-Family Home Damaged By Fire

The fire broke out at around 1:20 p.m. on Monday, extensively damaging a two-family home.

RED BANK, NJ — A fire broke out in a two-family Home on Shrewsbury Avenue in Red Bank on Monday afternoon, police said.

No one was hurt and everyone inside was able to self-evacuate. The house was extensively damaged, officials said.

The fire was reported at around 1:20 p.m.

"RBFD currently operating at the scene of working building fire on Shrewsbury Ave," the department said in a statement at 2:30 p.m.

Heavy smoke can be seen coming from a house in a photo posted by the Red Bank Fire Department.

The River Plaza Rit Team, Tinton Falls Rit Team, Little Silver Fire Department, Middletown Air Unit, Fair Haven Fire Department, Shrewsbury Fire Department were all called to assist with the fire.

Officials warned the public to be cautious around the area.
