Free Tree Seedling Giveaway In Red Bank To Celebrate Arbor Day
The state's annual campaign aims to assist New Jersey's tree line in recovering from significant damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.
RED BANK, NJ — Do you want to plant a tree in Red Bank? Free seedlings will soon be available in the area.
Every year, the state distributes free seedlings throughout New Jersey in an effort to assist the state's tree line in recovering from significant losses caused by Superstorm Sandy.
The seedling giveaways usually take place around Arbor Day, which falls on April 29 this year.

The giveaway will take place on April 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Red Bank Public Library Parking Lot, 84 W. Front Street.
Since the 2012 superstorm, the Arbor Day Foundation has worked to restore New Jersey's tree line. The foundation collaborates with the New Jersey Forest Service on the New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign. According to the Arbor Day Foundation, the partnership has distributed over 300,000 trees, but many more are still needed.
