All it took to win an iPad Mini was a guess — a guess at how many pennies were in a displayed jar at Colonial American Bank in Shrewsbury.
The contest, aptly-dubbed Guess the Pennies, was run at the bank from May 29 to Sept. 3 and Robert Solomon, of Colts Neck, won.
Visitors to the bank were one guess per visit to the bank; and Solomon's guess was just about on target. He guessed that there were 8,875 pennies in the jar and there were actually 8,897.
"We would like to thank all of the participants for visiting our new Shrewsbury branch office," said Anthony Giordano, III, President and CEO. “A visit to one of our branch offices will clearly demonstrate that they have been designed with both the community and our valued customers in mind."
