An enthusiastic outpouring of support from more than 75 players, sponsors and spectators made our inaugural Pickleball Social at The Atlantic Club's new Pickleball Center on March 30 a smashing success!

Teen Pickleball Social Chair Eliza Chiles of Atlantic Highlands with her friends, Amelia Appel, Caroline Ferguson, Maeve Bradley and Maeve Devane, all students at Trinity Hall in Tinton Falls, gathered their families, along with middle and high school peers throughout Monmouth County to join them for a FUN-draiser.

In-kind food and beverage donations from local businesses fueled and hydrated the pickles and spectators throughout the event. The Atlantic Club’s Pickleball Pro Kim Smith with volunteers taught the new players while the more advanced teams demonstrated their best dink, slam and serve.

Special thanks to the Chiles family for their support and sponsorship, and for bringing the idea to HABcore. Together, the community raised awareness of and funds for HABcore’s supportive housing programs that serve over 800 homeless families, veterans and people with special needs in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
