“It’s a Wonderful Life Comes to Red Bank This Thursday With a Holiday Community Screening”
Classic movie hosts bring a nostalgic, first-of-its-kind experience to Basie Center Cinemas—with Santa, treats, and holiday cheer.

Red Bank — It’s a Wonderful Life is coming to Basie Center Cinema House for a special one-night-only immersive holiday screening on Thursday, December 11, hosted by Marquee Classic Movies.
Doors open at 5:30 PM for festive pre-show activities, including complimentary Starbucks hot chocolate and coffee, a warm holiday welcome, and a special visit from Santa before the movie begins at 6:00 PM.
Co-host Debbie Higgins, who has spent over 40 years championing classic film and curating festivals in New Jersey, says bringing this movie to Red Bank feels like sharing a timeless gift with the community.
“This film is all heart,” Debbie says. “It’s about connection, kindness, and the meaning of community. What better place than Red Bank to experience that together for the very first time?”

Co-host Joe DeIorio adds that their goal is to create more than just a movie night:
“We want people to feel like they’re stepping back in time,” Joe says. “It’s about nostalgia, tradition, and creating a shared holiday memory right here in Red Bank.”
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), directed by Frank Capra, has long been considered one of the most cherished holiday films of all time. This screening invites families, couples, and classic-movie fans to enjoy it together on the big screen—complete with the warmth and charm of a vintage Christmas celebration.
