Man Fatally Struck By Train Had Hospital ID Bracelet: Police
The victim was struck and killed at the Bridge Avenue-Monmouth Street train crossing on Tuesday.
RED BANK, NJ — The man who was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train on Tuesday was wearing a hospital ID bracelet from Jersey Shore Medical Center, Red Bank Police Captain Michael Frazee said.
While the man’s identity has not yet been released, Frazee said NJ Transit Police are leading an investigation into the incident because it occurred on their property.

The man was struck and killed by a North Jersey Coast Line train at the Bridge Avenue-Monmouth Street train crossing Tuesday afternoon, NJ Transit spokesman John Chartier said.
There were no reported injuries to the 25 customers or crew on board, and North Jersey Coast Line rail service was temporarily suspended between Red Bank and Long Branch as a result of the incident, Chartier said.

As of 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, North Jersey Coast Line rail service is operating on or close to schedule in both directions with residual delays.
The incident occurred in the same location where a man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in September.
Anthony Depalma, 39, of Highlands, was struck at the Bridge Avenue-Monmouth Street train crossing on Sept. 14.
Police who responded to the incident began to provide Depalma with medical assistance before he was taken to Riverview Medical Center, where Frazee said he later died due to his injuries.
