Carlina Jessen, Merrill Market Executive at Bank of America, has been named a 2025 NJBIZ Leading Women in Business honoree. This prestigious award recognizes successful women across New Jersey for their professional achievements, leadership, and impact in their communities. Honorees are selected through a competitive nomination process and reviewed by an independent panel of judges.
More than 7,400 New Jersey households entrust Carlina and her team of 150 associates to guide their wealth financial journey to meet their goals. Under her leadership, Carlina significantly grew market share, attracting top talent to the organization.
Carlina began her 30 years ago, having roles in operations, client service, leading to her first leadership role in the branch office. This experience has led to regional and division leadership roles, and into the Market Executive role held today.

In addition to her financial acumen and commitment to financial literacy, Carlina is an outspoken advocate for mental health. Her work ethic and strong belief that one can be both kind and assertive have guided her career and set the tone for the business she runs. Carlina was recently appointed to the board of the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, and is also active with HISPA, a nonprofit that promotes Latino student achievement through mentorship and role-model programs.
