RED BANK, NJ — With less than 10 shopping days to Christmas, the Two River Theater Holiday Pop-Up this Saturday may be just what you need to help find last minute gifts - and have fun doing it.

No slogging about in malls or clicking alone online, the pop-up is a chance to have a community experience from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 16.

It promises to be "a festive celebration of art, community, friends, and music outside on the theater plaza." That is on Bridge Avenue. There is indoor shopping, too, in the lobby.

There’ll be live music, local vendors, and artisans with all the independently produced goods to help check off your gift list.

Hot cocoa is on the menu and there will be crafts and activities for kids.

Community groups will be on hand to share information and resources.

“It is always so wonderful to welcome our neighbors and community partners at the theater. Bringing people together to gather and celebrate the season is what Two River is all about," said Artistic Director Justin Waldman.

And you might find that special gift right at the theater.

Two River Theater is currently offering three shows for $150, a 40 percent savings off the regular price. Contact the box office at 732-345-1400 or place your order online at tworivertheater.org and use promo code 3for150. Gift certificates are also available.

Two River Theater produces American and world classics, new plays and musicals, programs for young people, and festivals of new work. Each year, it serves over 20,000 students, families and community members through its four to six-show season - and 40-plus events to reflect the diverse community of Monmouth County.

Two River produces work on two stages—the 350-seat Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater, and the flexible 110-seat Marion Huber Theater.

In 2020 it expanded its campus to 80,000 square feet with the opening of the Center for New Work, Education and Design.

Two River Theater is led by Artistic Director Justin Waldman and Managing Director Nora DeVeau-Rosen.
