
It will be a "Blast from the Past" at Red Bank Regional when the Visual and Performing Arts dance majors perform their Winter Dance Concert.
The program will feature 23 dances set to iconic artists of the last 50 years, including the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Queen, Madonna and more.
Senior Ceara Irons of Neptune City choreographed Cyndi Lauper’s 1982 classic ballad "Time After Time." She said, “It is a nice lyrical piece about someone who will always be there for the love that left them.”

Ceara intends to major in business administration in the College of Charleston. However, she also hopes to continue her dancing career on that college’s dance team as a Charleston Cougarette performing at many college sporting events.
Senior Samantha Lori of Red Bank chose to choreograph "Zombies," the 1994 protest song by the Irish group, The Cranberries. “I like to have our dancers explore their emotions with the music," Lori said.

Samantha dreams of making dancing her profession and has applied to several colleges around the country that have distinguished dance programs. She hopes to join a major dance troupe upon graduation.
The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday and 2 p.m. Saturday at the RBR theater, 101 Ridge Road, Little Silver. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $10 for adults. Patrons can purchase tickets at the door or contact dance teacher Dorianne Murray at dmurray@rbrhs.org for more information.
