Red Bank 2021 Election: Who's Running, All The Ways To Vote

RED BANK, NJ — The general election is only three weeks away and Red Bank residents will be able to cast their votes on several state and local races.
This year voters will have more ways and more days to vote in person than ever, according to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon. Earlier this year, a new state law was passed mandating the option of in-person early voting in New Jersey.

What And Who Are On The Ballot?
- Governor's race: Gov. Murphy is running for reelection this year against Republican Jack Ciattarelli, Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party), Gregg Mele (Libertarian) and Joanne Kuniansky (Socialist Workers Party).
- State Senate: In district 11, Democrat incumbent Vin Gopal will be challenged by Republican Lori Annetta for State Senate.
- General Assembly: Democrats Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling (both incumbents) are running against republicans Kim Eulner and Marilyn Piperno and Green Party candidate Dominique Faisonfor the two General Assembly seats.
- Borough Council: Democrats Kate L. Triggiano (incumbent) and Jacqueline Sturdivant and independent candidate Suzanne Viscomi are running for two open two council seats.
- School Board: Three incumbents are running for the three open seats on the Red Bank Borough Board of Education: Frederick J. Stone, Ann Roseman and Dominic Kalorin. Patrick Noble and John Garofalo are both running unopposed for Red Bank Regional High School Board of Education full-term and one-year unexpired term, respectively.
- Local Referendum: Voters will answer the following question: "Shall a charter commission be elected to study the charter of the Borough of Red Bank and to consider a new charter or improvements in the present charter and to make recommendations thereon?"
- State Constitutional Questions: Voters will be asked to approve a constitutional amendment to permit wagering on all college sport or athletic activities and a constitutional amendment to allow certain organizations authorized to conduct games of chance to use proceeds from those games to support the organization.
- Board of County Commissioners: Incumbent Republican Susan Kiley and Democrat Michael Beson are running for an open seat.

- In-person early voting: In-person early voting will be available in 10 polling locations in Monmouth County between Oct. 23 and 31. See full list of locations here. Hours will be Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters who registered for vote-by-mail will not be able to cast their ballots in person. To check your voter registration status go to Vote.NJ.Gov and click on the "Am I Registered?" tab.
- In-person on election day: Polls will be open on Nov. 2 between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. See where you can cast your vote here.
- Mail-in ballot: To vote by mail, voters must first complete a vote by mail ballot application, which can be found here or by visiting the office of the county clerk or your hometown's municipal clerk. Applications must be received seven days before the election, on Oct. 26. Voters can mail their ballots following the instructions on it or by dropping them off. A vote-by-mail drop box has been set up at the Red Bank Borough Municipal Building, located at 90 Monmouth Street, and a total of 35 drop boxes are available in Monmouth county. All locations are open 24 hours a day and until 8 p.m. on election day unless noted.
