Red Bank Civil Servant And Beloved Grandmother, Dies At 88
Ann Marie Trocchia Hall, a civil servant of Red Bank for nearly 30 years, died December 21. She was 88.

RED BANK, NJ — Ann Marie Trocchia Hall, of Red Bank, New Jersey died peacefully on December 21, 2021, in Redlands, California at the age of 88.
Ann was born on March 27, 1933, in Red Bank, NJ, to the late Carmela and Frank Trocchia, originally from Naples, Italy. She was one of seven children and graduated from Red Bank High School in 1949 and worked as a civil servant for nearly 30 years.
Ann had a love of the outdoors and took her children hiking in the mountains or swimming at the beach as often as she could from a young age. She eventually caught the travel bug, which led her to visit Jamaica, Russia, Europe, and Mexico before touring nearly the entire United States, either with a group or in her RV.

“Ann also loved to dance, especially square dancing, which she enjoyed well into her 70s,” her obituary reads. “One of Ann’s favorite things was spending time with her grandchildren, as well as visiting her children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. She always enjoyed reading, passing her love of books on to her children and grandchildren.”
Ann was predeceased by both parents and by her siblings Andrew Trocchia, Lena Rettagliata, and Salvatore Trocchia.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children David (Stacey) Hall, Charlene (Wolfgang) Hall, and Cindy Hall; her grandchildren Michelle, Carmen, Raphael, Nicholas, and Peter; and by her siblings Dominic Trocchia, Josephine Brown, and Frances DeArmond.
“Aunt Annie was also well-loved and remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews,” her obituary reads.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 121 Bridge Ave in Red Bank, NJ, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Red Bank.
