December Pet Food Drive Gets Underway In Red Bank

Lunch Break is starting a pet food pantry, and the Red Bank Animal Welfare Committee is helping stock it with a month-long collection.

RED BANK, NJ — Lunch Break is starting a new pet food pantry, and the borough is helping stock it with a pet food drive in December.

The Red Bank Animal Welfare Committee is sponsoring the Dog and Cat Food Drive now through Dec. 31.

All food donated will be given to Lunch Break because, as the organization says, "Every Pet Deserves A Full Belly."

Lunch Break is a nonprofit social services agency based in the borough that serves a wide variety of needs, including free daily lunches.

  • Red Bank Borough Hall, 90 Monmouth St., Red Bank.
  • Fins & Feathers, 134 Monmouth St., Red Bank.

And you can meet members of the Animal Welfare Committee at the Big Drop-Off Saturday, Dec. 16 at Fins and Feathers, the borough says.

According to the borough website, the Red Bank Animal Welfare Committee (RBAWC) was formed to provide recommendations to the Mayor and Borough Council to improve the living conditions of domestic and wild animals, as well as advise on changes to ordinances and statutes pertaining to animals.
