Red Bank Police: Detergent Shoplifter Hasn't Come Clean

The following information was obtained directly from Red Bank Police Department records. It does not indicate convictions.

Incidents:

• A shoplifting incident was reported on March 18 at Broad Street grocery store. The victim reported that unknown male shoplifted laundry detergent and a two other items and fled the store without paying for same. Patrolman David Hicks responded.

• A theft was reported at a Riverside Avenue residence on March 18. The victim reported that unknown person(s) stole medication from the residence. Lt. Richard Mangold responded.

• A theft was reported at Riverside Avenue on March 16. The victim reported that unknown person(s) stole a wallet from a hotel room, which contained credit cards. Lt. Richard Mangold responded.

Criminal mischief occurring at Mohawk Lane on March 20. The victim reported that unknown person(s) keyed the passenger side of a parked vehicle.
Sgt. Robert Gannon responded.

Arrests:

• James Price, 47, of Watchung, was arrested on March 17 in the area of Bridge Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated by Sgt. Michael Furlong.

• Timothy Doran, 22, of Leonardo, was arrested on March 18 in the area of W. Front Street and charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest by Patrolman Jorge Torres.

• Latisha Harris, 31, of Red Bank, was arrested on March 17 in the area of Montgomery Terrace and charged with simple assault by Patrolman John Camarca.

• Jose Varela-Contreras, 24, of Red Bank, was arrested on March 17 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with hindering apprehension by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• Eleazar Aguirre-Salazar, 22, of Middletown, was arrested on March 17 in the area of Locust Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• Jaclyn Whitmyer, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested on March 17 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Ptl. John Camarca.

• Marco Cortez-Huerta, 25, of Eatontown, was arrested on March 15 in the area of Newman Springs Road and charged with for possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Doreen Martin, 42, of Red Bank, was arrested on March 14 in the area of Broad Street and charged with shoplifting by Sgt. Robert Gannon.
