Red Bank Shooting Victim Identified
Mikal Muhammad, 36, of Red Bank, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to officials.
RED BANK, NJ — A victim of the double shooting that left one dead and another injured on July 10 has been identified, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Monday.
Mikal Muhammad, 36, of Red Bank, was identified and pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
Officers from the Red Bank Police Department responded to the 100 block of River Street at approximately 3:13 a.m. on July 10 after receiving a report of shots fired, prosecutors said.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. While Muhammad was pronounced dead on the scene, the other victim was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, treated and released. The other victim's identity was not released.
An investigation into the circumstances behind the shooting is active and ongoing with members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Red Bank Police Department, prosecutors said.
