Red Bank Water Service Briefly Interrupted For Repairs

A brief interruption of service was announced by Red Bank Borough for the West Westside Avenue area on Tuesday afternoon.

RED BANK, NJ — Emergency water main repairs affected water service on West Westside Avenue between Shrewsbury Avenue and Leighton Avenue Tuesday. It was temporarily shut down at around 4:30 p.m., according to a borough announcement.

Water pressure on Clinton Place may also have been low during this time.

The borough said it does not anticipate this interruption lasting beyond a half hour.

Residents in that general area may see discolored water as a result of this work.

This is only disturbed sediment and is not harmful. Residents should run their cold water from all faucets until it runs clear, typically five to 10 minutes, the borough said.
