RiverCenter's First Oktoberfest Kicks Off Fall In Red Bank

RED BANK, NJ — September is here and Red Bank is getting a jump on fall with its first-ever Oktoberfest, Red Bank RiverCenter announced.

The inaugural event is planned for Sunday, Sept. 24, with a rain date of Saturday, Sept. 30.

The open-air event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Edmund Wilson Plaza, between Triumph Brewing and The Two River Theater, Bridge Avenue.

RiverCenter is excited to bring Oktoberfest to the downtown's west side, said Red Bank RiverCenter Executive Director Bob Zuckerman.

He said the inaugural partners are Triumph Brewing Company, Asbury Fresh (pop-up markets) and Monmouth County Tourism.

"We are planning a wonderful day of tasty ales, cool sales and oompah scales," Zuckerman said.

Tasting tents, food, and craft vendors will be interspersed throughout the space, which will be adorned with Bavarian decor. There will be live music throughout, with alternating sets from a German Oktoberfest band and a Bluegrass band, said RiverCenter Events and Marketing Manager Tom Hanley.

Red Bank Oktoberfest is an all-ages event. Admission for tasters ages 21-plus is $45 in advance or $55 day of. Anyone from the public who is not tasting will be admitted for free, RiverCenter says.
