‘Roast Of New Jersey’ To Bring Comedy Central Star & More To Jersey Shore

RED BANK, NJ — Famed “Roastmaster General” comic Jeff Ross and more will be visiting Monmouth County in February when the Count Basie Center for the Arts hosts the first-ever Roast of New Jersey.

The one-night only comedy concert will take place on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the venue’s historic theater at 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank.

Hosted by Ross, the Roast of New Jersey will be an evening of jokes and barbs aimed at the Garden State, event officials said.

As a regular on Comedy Central Roasts, Ross has previously roasted some of the industry’s most famous people, including Alec Baldwin, Bruce Willis, Justin Bieber, Roseanne Barr, Joan Rivers, Charlie Sheen and more.

Additionally, event officials said a mystery guest will end the night in defense of New Jersey, offering a rebuttal toward “anyone who dares to ridicule our rest stops, industrial lands, the Pork Roll vs. Taylor Ham debate,” and more.

The Roast of New Jersey is part of the Count Basie Center’s Centennial Celebration, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the organization’s historic theater on Nov. 11, 2026.

Additional initiatives for the celebration include multiple community collaborations, the introduction of the venue’s Walk of Fame, the debut of the outdoor ParkStage venue in Freehold next summer and more.

Tickets for the Roast of New Jersey go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through theBASIE.org, the Count Basie Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.com.
