Robbery Investigation Leads to Arrest

Red Bank Police arrested Niko Rossano Friday morning on allegations he assaulted an unidentified borough victim during the early morning hours of Sept. 16.

The incident took place in the area of Leighton Avenue and Bank Street, police said in a press release. The victim was hit in the face and had his wallet and an unknown amount of cash stolen from him. The victim was subsequently treated and released from Riverview Medical Center.

Rossano was later arrested following an investigation by Det. Wendy Samis. The 20-year-old was committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $100,000 cash bail.
