See Who's Running For Shrewsbury's School Board: Election 2024

SHREWSBURY, NJ — The 2024 general election will likely be a high-turnout year with a presidential race on the ballot. But there will also be local decisions to be made on Nov. 5 in the Shrewsbury Board of Education race.

July 29 was the deadline for all candidates to submit their petitions to run for school board this November.

Below is a list of candidates, and a campaign slogan if they submitted one. All information comes from the Monmouth County Clerk's Office, and these positions are three-year terms unless stated otherwise.

Red Bank Regional High School Board of Education (Full Term — Vote for 1)

Shrewsbury Borough Board of Education (Full Term — Vote for 3)

• Danae McCullough
• David Ngo
• Michael Galvin (Children and Community)

Positions on school boards in towns in New Jersey are unpaid; board members help determine how educational resources and taxes are allocated and spent, and work with educators and administrators to plan the future of the district.

Early voting will take place from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
