Shrewsbury Patrolman Loses Job After Guilty Plea To Trespassing

Cullinane pleaded guilty to fourth-degree trespass for refusing to leave a home he was not invited to, prosecutor says

FREEHOLD – A Shrewsbury police officer will resign from his job as part of his guilty plea to trespassing on the property of a borough resident earlier this year, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

Ryan M. Cullinane, 27, Tinton Falls, a patrolman in the department, will also forfeit his weapons and firearms identification cards as part of the plea agreement, the prosecutor said.

Cullinane pleaded guilty on Tuesday to fourth-degree trespass before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Vincent N. Falcetano, Jr.

Cullinane admitted that while he was off-duty, he trespassed at the home of a borough resident where he was not invited and refused to leave, Gramiccioni said.

He also agreed not to have any contact with the victim and not to return to the scene of the crime.
