
Shrewsbury resident James J. Cook died on Nov. 1 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was 83.
Born in Brooklyn, NY Cook lived in the area since 1966, according to his obituary on legacy.com. He was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and worked in sales, it added.
Predeceased by his son, Jimmy, in 1967, he is survived by: his wife, Veronica; three daughters, Amy Cook, Laurie Maegerle and Karen Dorr; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden and Ava.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
