- Deborah Baskerville, 38, of Galloway is charged with third-degree impersonation under a false identity, third-degree unlicensed practice of medicine under a false identity, third-degree theft by deception, third-degree theft of a controlled dangerous substance, fourth-degree unlicensed practice of medicine, and fourth-degree conspiracy to commit theft by deception, the prosecutor's office said.
- Her sister Shonte Hall, 36, of Egg Harbor City is charged with conspiracy to commit theft by deception and conspiracy to commit unlicensed practice of medicine, fourth-degree crimes.
An investigation led by Shrewsbury Detective Sgt. Daniel DeCristofaro revealed that the theft took place on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023 at Complete Care, a skilled nursing facility in Shrewsbury, where Baskerville was using Hall’s identity and nursing license to work a shift.
The investigation found that during that shift, Baskerville took 10 oxycodone pills valued at approximately $200 from a locked medicine cart and replaced them with allergy pills.

The investigation has since determined that Baskerville may have been engaged in similar conduct at other medical facilities across the state in late 2023, as Hall worked for a nursing company that outsources its services as needed, the prosecutor's office said.
In early February 2024, Baskerville turned herself in to authorities, followed by Hall
several weeks later.
Both defendants had first appearances in Monmouth County Superior Court last week and were released on their own recognizance pending future court proceedings.
Anyone with information about the activities of these defendants is being asked to contact Sgt. DeCristofaro at 732-741-2500, ext. 230.
This case has been assigned to Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Sparano. Baskerville is
being represented by Samantha Kelly, Freehold, while Hall is being represented by Durann Neil, in Atlantic City.
