Suspect Charged With Theft From Stores In Red Bank: Police
After a four-week investigation, police charge a Newark man in connection with burglaries of businesses on Monmouth Street in Red Bank.
RED BANK, NJ — After a four-week investigation, a Newark man was in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution last week on several counts of burglaries and thefts, police here said.
Police say Onajii Campbell, 32 , of Newark is charged with:
- six counts of burglary, third degree
- two counts of attempted burglary, third degree
- six counts of theft, third degree
- eight counts of possession of burglary tools, fourth degree
Det. Sean Hauschildt was the investigating officer and was assisted by multiple police agencies in multiple counties, including the NJ Transit Police Department.

The suspect used NJ Transit trains to travel to and from the burglaries, police said.
Police said the incidents took place in the early morning hours of Oct. 6 at six Monmouth Street retail and restaurant businesses.
